Paul Ruprecht

Paul Ruprecht grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho, where his favorite memories include family trips to places like Salmon Falls Creek and the Jarbidge Wilderness. During college, he worked as a firefighter for the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service in Idaho, Oregon, and Alaska. He joined Western Watersheds Project in 2013 as a staff attorney after earning his law degree from Lewis and Clark Law School and later served as the organization’s Nevada Director. For six years, he also managed a 10,000-acre preserve in remote Washoe County on behalf of the Sagebrush Habitat Conservation Fund, where he implemented restoration projects and monitored the landscape’s recovery following livestock removal. In 2024, he completed a master’s degree in Rangeland Ecology and Management at Colorado State University.
